Helping Nathan Start a New Chapter in Chile
Hi everyone,
At the end of this month, Nathan is taking a courageous step
into a new season of life—moving to Chile —his girlfriend, is originally
from there. He recently completed his Associate’s degree, and like many young
adults at this crossroads, he’s discerning what direction his life will take
next. We truly believe this experience could be a formative and life-shaping
one for him.
Living abroad has a way of stretching us—opening our eyes to
new cultures, new responsibilities, and new possibilities. It builds
resilience, humility, and clarity in ways that are hard to anticipate but
deeply meaningful. We’re incredibly proud of Nathan for having the courage to
take this step.
Why We’re Asking for Support
An international move comes with significant upfront costs:
airfare, initial housing, transportation, basic living expenses, and the
inevitable “start-up” costs of settling into a new country. This fund is meant
to help Nathan land on his feet as he gets established and seeks opportunities
there.
We want to be clear—there is absolutely no pressure
to give. Your encouragement and good wishes mean just as much. But if you’re
able to help financially, please know that even $20 truly makes a difference
and is deeply appreciated.
Nathan’s Plan While in Chile
Nathan is well-positioned to support himself and grow during
this season:
- He is
a Cuban American and relatively proficient in Spanish, which
puts him in a strong position to teach English as a Second Language.
- He
plans to document his journey—preparing for the move, adjusting to life in
Chile, and sharing what he learns along the way through short videos and
social media.
- Music
is one of his gifts, and he hopes to create and share musical
content—possibly even writing a song about this journey and the reasons
behind his move.
This season is not just about relocation; it’s about using
imagination, gifts, and talents to build something meaningful and sustainable.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for being
part of our lives. Whether you choose to give, share this page, or simply cheer
Nathan on from afar, please know how grateful we are.
Your kindness and support mean more than we can say.
With heartfelt thanks,
Rich

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to take a minute to share something important
that’s happening in my life.
At the end of this month, I’m moving to Chile. It’s a big
step for me—honestly, a little exciting and a little intimidating at the same
time—but I really feel like this is the right moment to take it.
I recently finished my Associate’s degree, and I’m at that
stage where I’m figuring out what’s next. Moving to Chile gives me the
opportunity to grow, experience a new culture, and really discover where I’m
being led.
One of the things I’m hoping to do while I’m there is teach
English, especially since I speak Spanish fairly well and can connect with
people more easily. I also want to share my journey—through videos, maybe some
music—just showing what this experience is like in real time.
As you can imagine, making a move like this comes with some
upfront costs—travel, getting settled, and just starting out in a new place. So
I’ve set up this GoFundMe to help with that transition.
There’s absolutely no pressure at all—but if you feel led to
support me, even in a small way, I would be incredibly grateful. And if not,
your encouragement truly means just as much to me.
Thank you for taking the time to listen, and for being part
of my life.
